The devil thought he got JC (Jesus Christ) then.  But the Bible says that through the death of Jesus Christ, the devil was destroyed!!

But JC is GOD, not just man, so He was raised up from the dead.  GOD cannot die; for He is immortal.  Please remember we are talking about Jesus Christ, a real person who walked the face of this earth.  He is a GOD-man.  Fully GOD and at the same time fully man.  After He rose from the dead, He flew up into Heaven and sat back down at his spot right next to GOD, the Father.

Well, Jesus Christ through his death, ’paid the price’ for everyone’s sins.  That is why He is sometimes called the Lamb of GOD.  In old time Israel, lambs were sacrificed on the altar for temporary ‘payment’ of sins.  So, in Jesus Christ’s hand rests your life.  For the Bible says the wages of sin is death.  And John 3:16 says that whoever believes in Jesus Christ will have eternal life.  If one will just believe in Jesus Christ, that He is GOD, not a god, but Son of the Most High GOD Himself, then your sins will be taken away or be atoned for.  2,000 years ago, someone you did not know, already purchased your eternal life for you.  Deep down inside, everyone knows there is eternity in them.  This is where it lies.  It lies through GOD, through relationship with Him and to be purified by His blood.

There are a lot of religions and gods, why do I believe in Jesus Christ?  Because He must be GOD.  The Bible says GOD is love.  GOD is good.  GOD is powerful.  GOD is wise.  GOD is rich.  And the Gospel of Jesus Christ shows me that Jesus Christ is all those things.  The Word came to earth and became one of us, so accepting, and gave His life for us.  He didn’t just give His life, He showed us how to live a life of giving and sharing with others.  Just read the Bible.  Jesus Christ died for us, so that we might be blessed not cursed and have a good life.  Only a most powerful GOD could do this, an the more one studies the Gospel, one will began to see the infinite wisdom of GOD.  At first hearing, the Gospel sounds foolish, but when one really begans to hear, one only hears grace, mercy, love, power, and wisdom.  The Bible says that Jesus Christ is GOD in the flesh, and that being true, He is the Creator of all things, and so He is infinitely rich.  I’m careful not to knock other religions, your faith is important, just as mine is to me.  Everyone who loves GOD is seeking Him, and trying to see His face.  You may be able to find GOD as a Buddhist, Muslim, or Jew but I really believe, and this is just me talking right now, that you will never be able to know Him, really know Him and who He really is unless you first know His name, is real name, and that is Jesus.  Please take that step, and call on His name!

If you believe you are a sinner.  If you believe you are not perfect, always making mistakes then according to the Bible you are on the right track.  According to the Bible, GOD is perfect, sinlessly perfect or glorious.  It says in His Word that GOD cannot tolerate sin and disobedience.  What kind of god would that be if he did?  He wouldn’t be in charge, what he says wouldn’t be happening, and he wouldn’t be just.  Is that the kind of place you’d want to live?  A chaotic and lawless place?  I wouldn’t want to live there.  GOD is gracious and merciful but He is also righteous, good, and just.  The saying “What goes around, comes around.”  Is true.  But in Christianese, whatever you sow you reap.  You can’t do something bad, and not expect something bad to come back to you.  It will because it is justice that it come back, but through GOD’s mercy that bad thing may be withheld.

GOD is sharp!  He remembers and it even says in the Bible that the words and deeds of everyone are being recorded.  So, everyone has a rap sheet.  Ha-ha.  Because GOD is so merciful, we are able to enjoy good, normal lives (not cursed ones) because GOD is withholding, or holding back the punishments and curses that we deserve.  For those of us that are rebel-rousers that is a whole lot of wrath stored up for you.  For the nicer ones out there, less but still punishments stored up.  Because no one is perfect.

Reading the end of the Old Testament, we see that GOD was really angry.  I think the wrath stored up was just too much.  In other words, mankind had been sinning too much.  So what did GOD do?  He couldn’t flood the earth, He promised not to do that again.  He put all the punishment on His Son, Jesus Christ.  The crazy loving thing is that Jesus or the Word (another name for Jesus) agreed to take it.  All the asians in the house will understand this.  Older brothers or sisters growing up always got punished for their younger siblings mess ups.  You see, GOD is a Trinity.  He is three persons in One.  GOD, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  The Son or Word willingly became, not took the form of, a GOD-man, but a man nonetheless!!!  That alone is mind-blowing!  GOD, the creator, became part of His creation.  It’s like a painter become his painting.  How He do that?  Going on, He was punished as mankind’s representative, because He is/was a man.  He was punished and cursed unto death.  In the Bible it says Jesus laid his life down for us, he willfully did it, because He loves us.  Lovers say I would die for you.  He actually died for us.

Whoa.

Why is the message that Jesus the Christ, the GOD-man, came, died, and rose from the dead so important?  Why do the Christians scramble to share his love in the hope that someone might hear this message?

It changed my life.  Took me from night to day.  And from a tumultuous life to one of peace and blessings from GOD.  It could change yours.

I don’t think people stop to think about who GOD is much.  They know He is up there.  Some believe He created but is uninvolved in the day-to-day affairs of the universe.  Perhaps I think about GOD too much.  Naw.  I don’t think so.

What I’ve come to believe and I think that most people will agree is that GOD has the power to help or ‘hurt’ us.  And don’t we need all the help we can get, especially in this economy.  But why?  Why does GOD want to hurt us.  I think it is similar to a father disciplining his children.  You do wrong you get punished, you do right, you get rewarded.  That seems simple right?  Sorry, but wrong.  We see in the Old Testament, with Moses and the Israelites, that GOD laid down the Ten Commandments, the Law.  GOD then said if you obey you will receive these blessings and if you disobey you will have these curses.  You will know if you are disobeying the law.  But what happened?  Time and time again, the people of GOD disobeyed.  And boy did they disobey badly.  That’s us.  Well, it was me.  Believe me, I messed up over and over again.  It seemed I would just get worse and worse.

People just don’t have it in them to follow the rules of GOD.  By the way there are more than ten.  There are actually a lot of rules if one looks at the text following the Ten Commandents.  We don’t have it in us, and we don’t have the intelligence or power to follow GOD’s rules.  In Christianese, all people are sinners.
