Names(s):James L. Chen, Jim, Jimmy, Izze, 陳博文 (or chen bwo wun)
Born: New York, New York, USA on 1/13/1972
Ethnicity: Taiwanese Chinese
Hometown: Tamuning, Guam, USA. (Where’s that? It’s in Hawaii somewhere. Not really.) Current residence: Back in Good Ol’ Guam, USA.
Bio: I look bad on the outside, but I’m good on the inside. Growing up on Guam, I felt accepted socially but totally bored and disconnected from the outside world. I went to church but myself did not accept Jesus Christ. My life was not good all through college and my young adulthood. A life-threatening car accident in 2001 brought me to saving faith. Since then, my life has turned around. The credit goes to Jesus Christ. Slowly since 2001, GOD has been restoring my life, enriching my life. The last two years were incredible for me. I married, saw the birth of my son, and opened a business. Now, I’m in Seattle starting all over and on an adventure. Now, I’m back on Guam. Working, working, working. Seattle, what an adventure!
My Function: My wife and I are business people. I also have an interest in teaching. And ALSO, I enjoy studying and debunking myths within the Christian community.
Education: St. John’s School | L.B.J | Tamuning Elementary School | St. John’s School | J.F.K High | West High, Madison, WI | University of Wisconsin – Madison, B.S. in Biology | Troy University, Alabama, eMBA.
Hobbies: Watching Sports, Web Development, Music, Weights, Books, Business, Real Estate, Coffee, Home Improvement, and Movies. I’m interested in Hunting and Fishing.
About this blog: This is where I spew from a Christian perspective. I mostly talk about Christian type things, but also take a balanced approach by also noting Christian things that don’t make sense. I also like to blog about pop culture, media, movies, books, music, current events, hot topics, etc… Lastly, I like to talk about things I like (hobbies), and things I do (my work — real estate, business, web development.)
Blog Disclaimer: These words, thoughts, opinions, whatever are mine. I take responsibility for them and please don’t go blaming anyone else for them. My hope in working this endeavor is to create a learning environment where those who come may learn and maybe teach in the process. I also hope this is a place where people will be able to connect, learn to love, challenge and be challenged (but also respectfully). And of course, this is where friends and family not so near and far will most easily be able to see what I’m up to.
Thanks to P.E. Cho for the ”inspiration” to start a blog. Also thank you for the format on this page.
