My second ‘prophecy’

You don’t want to know my first prophecy.

But, today I was watching a certain TV preacher and he talked about sometimes we are asked by the LORD to invest in someone.  Even when that someone is complaining, not wanting to be happy or content, just plain exhibiting stinky behavior, we can help that person by loving them and helping them.  That person was Dave Meyer, or the husband of the now phenomenal Joyce Meyer.  He made her what she is today, together with the LORD but stays behind the scenes.  He deserves credit, but being in the spotlight is not his call.  But, he did play a seminal role.

I recall praying with our LORD when I was having a time and a half with my lovely wife.  After all, she is a new Christian and that is normal.  But, He told me she is making better progress than I was.  Thinking back, I’ve changed a lot as well.  And maybe someday you will help her become even greater than you in ministry.  How did I feel about that?  That’s good with me.  We’ll see!

Sometimes life is not easy.  I shed a tear, but we go on, because it is infinitely more precious to be a part of the LORD.  We can do anything and all for Him.
